Why hertz isn’t the problem
A 240Hz screen that washes out in daylight is a bad screen for that room. Two specs matter more here: SDR brightness and finish. Matte fights reflections. Glossy looks punchier but mirrors the window.
What the numbers say
AOC Q27G3XMN: 700 nits typical SDR, per AOC. The highest rated brightness here.
LG 27GX700A-B: a matte Tandem OLED at 335 nits typical, per LG. The OLED to buy for a bright room.
ASUS XG27AQWMG: glossy Tandem OLED. Tom’s Hardware measured 557 nits SDR at a 25% window. That’s a lab measurement, not a maker’s rating, so don’t rank it against the numbers above. Bright, but glossy. See our review.

Placement beats specs
Put the screen at a right angle to the window, not facing it or in front of it. Then sit where you’ll play, turn on your phone’s flashlight and sweep it in front of the screen. Every hot spot is a reflection you’ll fight. Then check again at the hour you actually play.
Living-room Wi-Fi
Consoles and PCs far from the router suffer first. A tri-band router like the Archer BE550 adds 6 GHz. If the signal has to cross two walls, mesh like the Deco BE63 is the better fix. Better still, run an Ethernet cable.
